This was the first game jam that I’ve ever attended!
What the game is about: “You play as crewman J. Ericks on a industrial cargo ship, stranded in the Pacific Ocean. Your goal: use a repair drone to navigate the broken ship and fix the hull to drive the ship home to safety. However, be careful as pirates have boarded the ship and will do anything to stop your progress!”
I primarily worked on programming the game mechanics: invisibility (unfortunately, didn’t get implemented in the final game), drone movement (thrust), enemy algorithm (ex. when to chase the player or not), self-destruct drone, and respawning the drone.
