Merry Christmas Eve!
I still can’t get over the fact that I was finishing up my last week of undergrad a week ago.
The class that was stressing me out the most was my senior design project. But fortunately, it worked out well!
Below is a video demonstration of the Marker Band Sorter:
Ahhhh, and the cherry on top was when our sponsors from Johnson Matthey (Miguel Quivira, Zane Wyatt, and Chaz Bruckman) said they were impressed! They praised us during our Design Day virtual presentations on Dec. 10, but it felt awesome hearing them say it again at the end of the semester. This is because, my team and I continued to refine the Marker Band Sorter up until the last day of finals*, and I feel like all of our hard work paid off.
Super thankful to have worked with an awesome team. Thank you to Theresa Escolano, Jason Agtina, and Nathan Fosgett! Couldn’t have done it without you guys.
*The deadline for this project was December 17, 2020
What now?
At this point in time, I’m relaxing and enjoying the winter break. I have some research-related work to catch up on, but I’ll get to that after Christmas. It’s been a looong 4.5 years at San Diego State University (SDSU), but I’m happy I made it!
I’ll probably write a more in-depth reflection post about my undergrad experience in Mechanical Engineering… some time soon! Definitely before the break ends.
I didn’t mention this on my website but I got accepted into Iowa State University, and I will be co-majoring in Human Computer Interaction and Mechanical Engineering for my PhD!!!
So yea, I have a lot to look forward to! I’ll become a TA (salutations and greetings to my future students who are looking me up on the internet), move to Iowa, and learn how to survive enjoy my first Midwestern winter.
